Abstract of Interactive Museum App with Virtual Reality
The capstone project entitled “Interactive Museum App with Virtual Reality” was designed in developed in C# and Unity3D. It is an innovation project intended to convert the traditional way of exploring the exhibits into a 3D interactive model. Main objective of this project is to enhance the visitor experience by utilizing the virtual reality technology. The scope of the capstone project was to develop a 3D model of the existing exhibits, 360 –degree videos and virtual tour of the facility. Another limitation is that the project is only intended for a specific museum since that source of the model will be based on their current inventory. In terms of research components, the project would be evaluated by the experts in the field of multimedia and computer programming. McCall’s Software Quality Model was used in order to gather the rating of the experts. End-users or the management of the museum would also be part of another testing called user acceptance testing. Its purpose and objective is to verify if the functionalities of the system were based on their needs and requirements. Researchers used the preliminary test for both types of testing. After the additional requirements, revisions and suggestions from experts and end-users, final testing was conducted. Results showed that the project meets the requirements of a good and quality product set forth by the standard questionnaire. Furthermore, in terms of acceptability of the end-user, rating showed that the project was based on their requirements and needs of the management. Through the findings, researchers concluded that the innovative project works efficiently and the objectives or targets were integrated into the project. It is therefore recommended that the Interactive Museum App with Virtual Reality should be implemented for it could add more interactivity to the visitors and enhance their experience.
