Computer Assisted Instruction (Web, Mobile, Desktop) Documentation

Planning

Conduct the preliminary analysis: in this step, the researchers’ will find out the organization's objectives and the nature and scope of the problem under study.  The data gathered in this stage will be the basis of the researchers’ in the development of CAI.

Analysis

Defines project goals into defined functions and operation of the intended application and analyzes of end-user information needs. The researchers will analyze all of the requirements needed by the end-user or the one who will use the system based on the data gathered on the previous stage which is the planning stage.

Design

In this phase it includes the desired features and operations in detail, including screen layouts, process diagrams, pseudo code and other documentation or requirements. It is where all the concepts of the system are put together.

Testing

Brings all the pieces together into a special testing environment, then checks for errors, bugs and interoperability. The researcher will use a prototype design in which sample program will be presented to the end-user for the purpose of evaluating the performance of the system.

Implementation

The final stage of initial development, where the software is put into production and runs in actual environment. Maintenance: During the maintenance stage of the Life-Cycle, the system is assessed to ensure it does not become obsolete. This is also where changes are made to initial software. It involves continuous evaluation of the system.
