The project is the design and implementation of an interactive World Wide Web-based Leave Management System for the Human Resources Department at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. The Leave Management System automates the process of managing and tracking multiple types of employee leaves. Employees are able to submit the leave form, cancel previously submitted leave requests, check the status of leave requests and view completed leave transactions. The Leave Management System maintains a database to keep a running balance of each employees account, accrues employee vacation and sick credits and provides individual reports on employees leave accruals.

The researcher learned that in their system the employee can check the leave request status in their leave transactions, keep an accurate records and provide individual report.

In the existing Leave Record Management System, every college/department follows manual procedure in which faculty enters information in a record book. At the end of each month/session, Administration Department calculate leave/s of every member which is a time taking process and there are chances of losing data or errors in the records. This module is a single leave management system that is critical for HR tasks and keeps the record of vital information regarding working hours and leaves. In this module, head of department (HOD) will have permissions to look after data of every faculty member of their department. HOD can approve leave through this application and can view leave information of every individual. This application can be used in a college to reduce processing work load. Leave management application will reduce paperwork and maintain record in a more efficient systematic way.

The researcher learn that their leave management system can have a summary of employees current leave and can have the permission to look after data of every employees to provide the HRM a more efficient and systematic way.

The BMS Leave Management System (LMS) is an easy-to-use and efficient full web based application to replace the previous LMS that was developed in 1999. The new LMS streamlines communication between the HR and every individual staff and facilitates a simple-to-use yet efficient system to manage all employee leave matters. At the same time, the LMS ensures that all leave application and request are accurately accounted so that staffs can apply, approve and view leave records without the hassle and delay through admin staffs – it’s all at a few mouse click anytime, anywhere with broadband Internet access. The minimum system requirement is any Windows-based computer (or PC notebook) that can run Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and above efficiently on any broadband connection (512Kbps and above).

This type of system takes time for information to be gathered and as well as to generate reports. MDH’s Online Leave Management system will aim to have a better system so they would know who and how many employees are on leave and are available at the hospital and as well as costumers will know the availability of the doctors that they will need for the consultations. This leaves are subject to prior computation and meticulous monitoring in order to give what should be vested on an employee. This proposal is all about, leave management system. The leave management system will monitor the number of leaves an employee commit several leave of absences. Because of this leave management system, the records of the MDH-HR will be arranged in an organized and systematic way

The researcher learned that in creating a leave management system is to have an organized records and also to monitor the number of leave they have taken.

The objective of Leave System is to automate Leave management.  With the help of this system users can apply leave online, supervisors can approve or escalate to higher levels, and HR can update leave status online. The users can see the status of all Leave Transactions and their Leave Balances from this system.  Admin can manage all Leave Transactions with the help of this system. The work flow is designed in such a way the Leave System generates email messages as alerts to respective users, supervisors and to HR to enable them to act upon.

The researcher learned that in their current system, there are email messages and alerts that is generated by the system in such way to notify their respective user, the supervisors and the HR that is responsible for the said transaction.

HUMAN RESOURCE E-LEAVE MANAGEMENT: A DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM

The main purpose of the study was to develop a Human Resource e-Leave Management System for the university that will be more efficient and synchronized than the current manual system. In order to have an efficient and effective management of leave transactions, the web-based system was designed and implemented with modules on leave applications, leave balances monitoring, records management, administration, and install the business intelligence technique to aid in the decision making activities of the HRDM Officer and the Management. It offers streamlined operations, fair application of leave policies, introduction of more statistical reports and a more productive workforce. The development methods used were Process Modeling and UML diagrams.  The tools and languages used in developing the system were Ajax, Adobe Flash and Flash Player, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5 and CSS3 for the client-side coding and PHP for the server-side coding.  MySQL was used for the database and XAMPP as the web server.  The development environment was Eclipse Web Tools Platform, and the development framework was Code Igniter. Structured questionnaires were used to conduct the Preliminary Survey, System Usability and Web Usability Evaluation. The main findings of this study revealed that the system is fully compliant with the standard System Usability Guidelines. Likewise, the Web Usability showed that the employees strongly agreed on the implementation of the system in order to have a quick response and access to information.  The results of the Web Accessibility test also showed that the completed system is error-free and passed the standard guidelines for Web Accessibility.

The researcher learned that in their present system modify allowed days based on fair application of leave policies. It can also monitor leave balances and synchronize all the data in an efficient way.

Mobile HRM for Online Leave Management System

The Mobile HRM (Human Resource Management) project is aimed at developing an online leave management system which is important to an organization. It is a new concept that is been developed for our management to maintain leave record. The Mobile HRM is an Intranet based application that can be accessed throughout the organization or a specified Department. This system can be used to automate the workflow of leave request and their approvals. There are features like approval of leave, cancellation of leave, report generators in this system. The registered people are to be an employee or a staff of the particular organization. At anytime and anywhere employee or staff can apply their leave using this application. There is no necessity for manual filling of leave form and wait to get higher officials signature. With the help of this application the staff can also view the previous leave applied by them. Then the leave request will be forwarded to the higher official of the organization. In day to day life manual maintenance of leave record became difficult. The “Leave Management System” software is user-friendly software. The main objective of the system is which shows and helps you to collect the most of the information about leave details of employees.

The Project Leave Management System includes employee login, admin login. Employee login enables employees to view thier attendance details and also thier leave status. They can also apply for leave. Admin login enables admin to confirm the leave the leave applied by the employees of thier class. They can either accept or reject the leave. Admin can also generate various reports on the leave details. Attendance percent of the employee calculated automatically and updated. Employees cannot apply for more leave when thier attendance percent is below minimum.

The leave management system can be entered using a user ID and password. It is accessible either by the employee or admin. Only they ca add data into the database. The database can be retrieved easily. The interface is very user-friendly. The data are well protected for personal use and makes the data processing very fast.

The researcher learned that the sytem provides the employee an interface of user friendly software. It also has LogIn to confirm the admin and the employees of their class. It also generates reports regarding with the leave detais.

Leave Management System (LMS) is a system being used by Human Resource Department all over the world. The particular systems are Management System, Payroll System, Employee System and Leave Management System. LMS is used by the employee when they want to apply for leave. Employee will use the LMS system by filling the desired date. Nowadays the usage of LMS has grown in many sectors with various type of tools and features used to assists their company to keep tracks and record of the employee‟s leave . Usually the employee will manually apply their leave by filling up the leave application form. They must also need to provide relevant information about their leave such as the duration of the leave. Then they will have to submit the application form to the Head of Department to approve their application. When the Head of Department (HOD)  has approved the leave application form, the form will then be submitted to upper management in order to verify that the employee is not bond to any of the company‟s activities. After that the employee will know whether the leave is approved or not. This process is inefficient especially when the employee has to wait for approval . This happens because they might be very busy with their work. Even sometimes there are cases such as the lost of leave form and the employee would not know the status of their leave application. However, the system in KUIM allows employees to apply for leave using KUIM leave system. It will accept applications and send it to the HOD.  HOD will approve the application for staff on leave. KUIM leave system will be provided at allcomputers in KUIM so that it can be used easily by all the employees. KUIM LMS   will be improved from time to time by the company‟s organization.

The researcher learned  in their current system that the employee can provide supporting files and relevant information regarding the leave. The HRMO can also send notification on the approved application of the employees leave.

The related literature and studies is one of our basis in studying of web based personnel leave management system for our clientele. Some of the studies gave us more information on how we will make a system that will give improvements on managing the different leave of every personnel. The researchers have learned there are many systems that are alike to our system that tackles about how they manage all employees’ leave matters. Furthermore, there are also features that are not similar to our system like they can check there leave online anywhere, and they also create application for their applying the said leave that made our system unique from them.

The proposed system don’t have a features that can apply online, track employees who’s on leave, it can be access through gadgets but Leave Management System can just monitor the employees leave, and can cater a leave based on employees leave balance.
