The spike in food delivery has increased as Corona Virus Disease 2019 continues to limit people’s outdoor interactions. The pandemic has closed down restaurants due to the limits in physical interactions between people to mitigate the spread of the virus. Since the pandemic struck, food businesses especially restaurants wish to still operate and continue to feed people’s stomachs with delicious foods. Before the pandemic, some restaurants have already evaded and adapted the use of online platforms along with food delivery services. However, as COVID-19 pandemic the need for a more effective system to let restaurants continue to operate and serve the people is highly needed. A system that can cater to the marketing as well as management of orders and deliveries of food. With this, the researchers aimed to develop a Restaurant Food Delivery System that will streamline the management of food deliveries by different restaurants. The system will allow different restaurants to register and provide food delivery services to their clients. They can post the foods they offer and cater online orders from their customers. The system is an efficient platform to allow restaurants to continue operating their business as well as satisfy their customer’s needs. The researchers will develop the project following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) technique. The target users of the system are restaurant owners, food delivery drivers, and their clients. The system will allow food restaurant businesses to gain profits and customers also can conveniently order foods.
Introduction of the Study
Technology is considered a modern enabler. It allows people to accomplish the task with just a few clicks of their fingertips. The capstone project, entitled ” Restaurant Food Delivery System” is designed to digitally transform food order and delivery systems. The platform will allow different restaurants to operate online and continue to offer delicious foods to their customers. The said project will streamline the management of customers’ orders and food deliveries.
The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected businesses and one of these is the food restaurant businesses. Restaurants have come to a point where they are closed down due to the pandemic. They suffered from financial losses that greatly affect their business operation. Before the pandemic, some restaurants have already evaded and adapted the use of online platforms along with food delivery services. However, as COVID-19 pandemic the need for a more effective system to let restaurants continue to operate and serve the people is highly needed.
Proposed Solution
To address the aforementioned concerns, the researchers proposed the development of the Restaurant Food Delivery System. The proposed project will streamline the online operation of restaurant businesses. It will allow restaurants to manage food orders and deliveries on time. The system will allow different restaurants to register and provide food delivery services to their clients. They can post the foods they offer and cater online orders from their customers. The system is an efficient platform to allow restaurants to continue operating their business as well as satisfy their customer’s needs.
Objectives of the Study
General Objectives- the researchers generally aim to design, develop and implement a Restaurant Food Delivery System.
The researchers specifically aim to achieve the following objectives:
- To design a platform that will allow restaurants to electronically market their business.
- To efficiently streamline food delivery details.
- To electronically manage records of food orders and food deliveries.
- To provide delivery drivers with an organized list of their food deliveries.
- To subject the output of the system to an evaluation in terms of user acceptability, efficiency, productivity, quality, and reliability.
Scope of the Study
This study focus on the development process of the Restaurant Food Delivery System. The said project is limited only to food restaurant businesses. The project will streamline records of restaurants, market restaurants’ food services, delivery drivers’ records, and food orders. The researchers will gather a sample size of restaurant owners or managers, delivery drivers, and customers.
Significance of the Study
The success of the project is significant to the following groups or individuals:
Restaurant Owners. The success of the project will highly benefit them. They can continue to operate and provide services to the people. They can continue to gain profit and at the same time provide satisfying food delivery services to the clients.
Food Delivery Drivers. The system will ease up and simplify their job. They can have an organized list of their food deliveries and they can deliver it to their customers on time.
Customers. The system will help them to easily and conveniently place orders of food deliveries.
Researchers. Their experience in conducting the study will further enhance their skills and knowledge as researchers.
Future Researchers. The study will serve as their guide in developing their version of the Restaurant Food Delivery System.

The capstone project, entitled “Restaurant Food Delivery System” is designed as a platform to automate sales and management of food deliveries by the restaurant. It will ease up and simplify the food delivery system in an efficient and timely manner.

Conclusion
Food delivery services have become popular as the COVID-19 pandemic struck. This study was conducted to assess the current situation faced by restaurant businesses. The study reveals that they faced difficulties on how to continue to provide their food business services to the people. With this, the researchers developed a Restaurant Food Delivery System and presented it to the target end-users. The result of the study showed that the developed system met the needs and requirements of the target end-users and respondents. The result showed that the respondents rated the system satisfactorily in terms of user acceptability, efficiency, productivity, quality, and reliability.
Therefore, the researchers concluded that the developed system is an effective platform for restaurant food delivery systems. It will increase the business efficiency of restaurants as well as the overall customer satisfaction. The system can guarantee efficient and timely food deliveries to customers.

Based on the significant result of the study, the researchers highly recommend the implementation of the restaurant Food Delivery System. The system is highly recommended for its efficiency and dependability that can be rendered to the target end-users. The researcher’s highlight that end-users should familiarize the features and functions of the system to properly use it.

- The researchers suggest that food restaurant owners should register their restaurant to market their business to a wider scope of customers.
- The researchers suggest that delivery drivers should register also in the system to have an organized list of their food deliveries and deliver it on time to the customers.
- The implementation of the system is highly suggested for it will ease up and simplify the restaurant food delivery system.
