Abstract

Technology is considered a modern enabler. It enables different industries and institutions to improve their operations and services. In the educational sector, technology made an intensive impact on learning processes. Technology introduces new learning modalities that educational institutions and students can adapt.

In today’s digital age, e-learning has become popular. It can be viewed as an innovative approach in delivering a well-designed learning facility for students using digital technologies. Learning can be accessed by anyone, anytime and anywhere.

The capstone project, entitled “E-Class Management System” is designed to effectively facilitate the e-learning processes of students. Electronic classes introduce specified courses that students can enroll to which requires efficient and effective management. Traditionally, students learn only within the walls of the lecture rooms. The traditional method of learning limits students from completely honing their capabilities and knowledge. Learning processes and resources are not highly accessible and available.

The researchers will develop the project using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) technique. The researchers use the SDLC technique for focuses on the interaction of planning, analysis, and design tasks which leads to implementation followed by operation and support. Interview and observation of the current processes and methods were used as the primary data gathering techniques.

The implementation of the system will ease up management of electronic classes. The system will serve as a centralized platform that manages students, instructors, courses, and the class as a whole. It is a digital platform that facilitates e-learning. The system will allow easy, fast, efficient, and accurate e-class management.

The said project will help facilitate in providing students a well-designed, learner-centered, and interactive learning environment. There is an intensified need for an effective system to manage e-classes.

Proposed Solution

To address the above-mentioned concerns, the researchers proposed a system that will streamline the effective management of e-classes. The system will allow the admin to manage all aspects in an e-class, from students, instructors, courses, and other e-class related information. The system will allow easy, fast, efficient, and accurate e-class management. Efficient management of e-classes will provide students with an enjoyable process of learning using the zone where they find learning accessible, resourceful, and amusing.

Objectives of the Study

General Objective – the researchers generally aim to design and develop a system that will streamline management processes in an e-classroom which will enhance the traditional method of the teaching-learning system.

The researchers specifically aim the following objectives:

  1. To develop an effective tool to manage to efficiently manage e-classrooms.
  2. To eliminate issues and concerns in the traditional method of the teaching-learning system.
  3. To improve e-classrooms that students can use in learning anytime and anywhere.
  4. To Evaluate the system in terms of Functionality, Usability, Reliability, Performance, and Security
  5. To make e-class management easy, fast, efficient, and accurate.

Scope of the Study

The study only covers the development of an e-class management system. The researchers mainly focus on developing a system that will efficiently manage e-classrooms. The system is limited in allowing students to enroll in their desired courses and learn them anytime and anywhere. Educational institutions, students, and other aspiring learners will participate as respondents in the study.

Significance of the Study

The success of the study is deemed beneficial to the following:

Conclusion

Electronic class is a platform that facilitates learning using digital technology. It made the teaching-learning system accessible and available anytime and anywhere. This study was conducted to develop a system that will effectively manage e-classrooms. The result of the study showed that the developed system is effective as perceived by the respondents by the given criteria. The developed system met the needs and requirements of the intended users and respondents. The majority of the respondents have seen the potential of the system.

Hence, the researchers concluded that a system is an effective tool to efficiently manage e-classrooms. The implementation of the system will eliminate issues and concerns in the traditional method of the teaching-learning system. The system can improve e-classrooms that students can use in learning anytime and anywhere. The developed system will make e-class management easy, fast, efficient, and accurate.
