The researchers conducted the study to assess the system’s use by schools in managing schools. The researchers have found out that there are still some issues and problems encountered even with the use of computer technologies. Thus, the researchers aim to design an advanced system to efficiently manage schools.
The capstone project, entitled “Advance School Management System” is designed to advance and improve the system used in managing schools. It is designed to streamline different school management processes. The system is capable of collecting and storing different information. It will efficiently manage different school management areas like student management, teacher management, subject management, class management, expenses management, school fee management, and much more.
The system is an IT-based solution proposed by the researchers to solve the issues and problems encountered in managing schools. The researchers aim to develop a system with advanced features and capabilities in capturing data. The researchers aim to meet the criteria for the project in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, quality, timeliness, and productivity.
The researchers will develop the system base on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) technique. The researchers will gather information from different schools to identify and assess the current methods used for school management. The researchers will then proceed to the development process of the software.
The implementation of the system will ensure efficient school management processes and transactions. The system will significantly improve the operational and business efficiency of the schools. The system will provide improved education solutions through the use of innovative technology.
Introduction
The capstone project, “Advance School Management System” is a digital system that will further enhance the current systems used in managing schools. It will streamline different management areas such as student management, teacher management, subject management, class management, school fee management, expenses management, staff payment management, etc.
The emergence of technology has improved the educational system. However, there are remaining issues and problems encountered in managing schools. With this, the schools are in continuous search of an efficient system to be used in managing schools. Currently, schools use different computerized systems and applications to streamline different management areas separately. This system of management is inefficient and does not offer an easy flow of information and data across different data. Availability and accessibility of records and information became a problem that will slow the operation and transactions in managing schools. Thus, there is an intensified need for an efficient and effective system that offers an all-in-one school management system.
Proposed Solution
In conjunction with the above-mentioned concerns, the researchers proposed an Advance School Management System. The system covers all operations and transactions to be processed in managing schools. The system will streamline student management, class management, teacher management, school fee management, expenses management, staff payment management, and other management areas. School information and records will be highly accessible and available. The developed system will allow the school’s administrators to manage the aforementioned management areas all in one place in an efficient, accurate and hassle-free manner.
Objectives of the Study
General Objective – the researchers generally aim to design, develop and implement an Advance School Management System that will efficiently cover all aspects of school management.
The researchers specifically aim the following objectives:

- To use an advanced system that is efficient in managing all information and records of the school.

- To conduct advanced school management processes and operations.

Scope of the Study
The study only covers the development process of the Advance School Management System. The system is limited to be used by educational institutions. It will cover all management processes and transactions of the school. Different schools, teachers, students, and other stakeholders will be the respondents of the study.

Today, educational systems are highly influenced by the rapid development of technologies. Computer technologies transform the systems used by schools in managing daily operations and transactions. The researchers conducted the study to assess the system’s use by schools in managing schools. The researchers have found out that there are still some issues and problems encountered even with the use of computer technologies. Thus, the researchers developed an Advance School Management System. The result of the study showed that the developed system met the needs and requirements of the intended users and respondents of the study.
