Online Grading System Data Flow Diagram

Online Grading System Data Flow Diagram

This article will give an example on the Data Flow Diagram of the project entitled Online Grading System.

System Design Specification

The proposed system will give benefit for users by making the work easier and hassle free in encoding student records by importing records in the system using Microsoft Excel.

The proposed system also helps the parents get their child’s grade in an easier and modernized way online.

Context Diagram – A context diagram, sometimes called a level 0 data-flow diagram, is drawn in order to define and clarify the boundaries of the software system. The image below is the context diagram of the online grading system. The system has 3 entities; the admin which can access all the features of the system, the teacher which can view the masterlist and encode the grades of the students.

Requirement Specification

For the great flow of the system, it is required to have hardware and software technology to be use.

Technical Feasibility

This part will include the hardware and software of the system and its relevance.

Hardware Compatibility

The Hardware that the researcher is going to be used is a Desktop Computer, laptop/router, modem, Printer. The computer is used to display all the transactions in the system. Is a device or program that enables a computer to transmit data using internet to have internet access.

The routers have specific Ethernet port that is designed to connect to the ethernet port off a cable or a DSL model to network two or more computers. Printer Is a device that accepts text and graphic output from a computer and transfer the information to paper. We used printer so that users can print important documents such as receipts and reports.

Software Compatibility

The Software Google Chrome Browser, Uwamp, Mysql, Hypertext Mark-up Language, and My Structured Query Language. We used Google Chrome because it is an open source program for accessing the World Wide Web and running Web-based applications. The Google Chrome browser can retrieve or fetches code, usually written in HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and another language, from a webserver, interpret this code, and render (display) it as Web page for viewing. We used MySQL for my database because it is an open source relational database management system. This MYSQL is a graphical tool for creating database, it based on the structure query language, which is used for adding, removing, and modifying information in the database. Standard SQL commands, such as ADD, DROP, INSERT, and UPDATE can be used with MySQL.

Relevance of the Study

The Current System in OCES is not manually but in terms of checking daily the attendance the system did not manipulate the total of attendance of the student directly to the Form 2 to Form 138. Based on the researches interview the following employee will be benefited by this system are:

Principle – This will help the Principle, to have a faster to sign the reports of the teachers.

Students – This propose system will help to the student to view his/her grades easily and for those student achieve the highest grades.

Schedule Feasibility

According to our research, the prototyping model is a system development method (SDM) in which prototype (an early approximation of a final system or product) is built, tested, and then reworked as necessary until an acceptable prototype is finally achieve.
