A parking area is assigned for parking vehicles. Today, convenient parking spaces drive people to decide where to go and spend the day. Vehicle parking spaces are occupied by numerous vehicles every day that complicates the management processes. There is a need for development in the methods and systems used in managing vehicle parking areas.

The capstone project, “Python Vehicle Parking Management System” is designed and built-in Python to streamline vehicle parking management. The said project will automate the processing of information involves in parking lot management. The system will allow the parking lot administrator to electronically encode and store the records of parking slots availability, parking fees, parking duration, and customers and vehicles information.

The development of the project will eliminate the challenges and errors encountered in the pre-existing method used in managing vehicle parking space. The system will ease up the management process and increase operational efficiency and services of vehicle parking areas rendered to its customers. The development of the system will directly benefit businesses like malls which parking space services are an integral part of operating their business.

With the implementation of the system, the vehicle parking administrator can closely monitor and update the status of parking slots in the parking area. The admin can efficiently attend to parking inquiries of customers without delays and errors. Errors in parking fees and parking duration of customers will be prevented. The implementation of the system will significantly improve overall customer satisfaction.

Introduction

As a response to the aforementioned concerns, the researchers proposed the development of the Vehicle Parking Management System using Python. the project will eliminate the challenges and errors encountered in the pre-existing method used in managing vehicle parking space. The system will allow the parking lot administrator to electronically encode and store the records of parking slots availability, parking fees, parking duration, and customers and vehicles information. The admin can track and manage information parking slots, parking fees, parking duration to avoid congestion in parking spaces. The system will ease up the management process and increase operational efficiency and services of vehicle parking areas rendered to its customers.

Objectives of the Study

General Objective – the researchers generally aim to design, develop and implement a Vehicle Parking Management System using Python.

The following are the specific objectives of the researchers:

  1. To develop an automated system to electronically manage Vehicle Parking areas.
  2. To reduce manual workloads and paper works of the vehicle parking management staff.
  3. To increase the operational efficiency of vehicle parking areas.
  4. To improve overall customer satisfaction by improving vehicle parking services.

Scope of the Study

Conclusion

This study was conducted by the researchers to develop and implement a Vehicle Parking Management System using Python. The developed system was presented to the target users and respondents for assessment. The result of the assessment showed that the developed system is an effective tool to increase the efficiency and services offered in vehicle parking areas.
