Automated Class Scheduling System in Visual Basic

System’s Mechanics

The following are the mechanics of the system with its corresponding description.
Log-in/out Menu – enables the users to access the system depending on the type of account the user has.

Log-out menu enables the users to exit or close the application.

Users Menu – allows the user to add, edit, update and delete certain username and password. This menu could only be access with an administrator account.

There are two (2) types of user accounts the user account and administrator account. The user account can log-in/out using the menu and can print all class schedules while the administrator account can access all menus in the system.
Backup Menu – enables the administrator account to back-up all data of class schedule and it will help the administrator save the system together with the database in another storage location for security purpose.

Restore Menu – enables the administrator account to restore all data deleted and responsible for restoring the saved system from the selected storage device.

Time Menu – time menu enables the administrator account to assign an interval time for the class schedule. Example 7:30 -9:00

Faculty Menu – faculty menu enables the administrator account to place the list of faculty of Arts and Sciences department.

Room Menu – enables the administrator account to add rooms for the Arts and Sciences department.

Subjects Menu – a list of all the subjects of Arts and Sciences Department. Administrator can add a subject depending on the contents of the prospectus.

Year Menu – enables the administrator account to add curricular levels.

Section Menu – a list of all students enrolled in the Arts and Sciences Department and enables the administrator account to add a section depending on the number of students enrolled.

Room Schedule Menu – a list of all room schedules of Arts and Sciences Department.

Day Menu – enables the administrator to place a day interval.

Faculty Schedule Menu – a list of the faculty assigned and enables the user account to print the faculty schedule.

Schedule Menu – enables the administrator account to assign room, faculty, subjects, day, year and time for the class schedule of the Arts and Sciences Department.

Class Schedule menu – a list of all the class schedule of the Arts and Sciences Department and enables the user to print a class schedule.

Shutdown Menu – enables the user account to close all application of the Automated Class Scheduler.
