File Management System in PHP and MySQL Capstone Project
File management system is a file system that is used to organize and keep track of files. Users need not browse through network folder but instead are given instant result, and are provided a system where files can be accessed anytime and anywhere over the Internet. The Web-based File Management System for College will minimize or eliminate loss of files or loss of work of faculty and students. Faculty and students can actually manage, edit, share and approve content or files from their computers.
Objectives of the Study
The main objective of this study is to develop a web-based file management system for College which will replace the manual management of files or records of the institution that is reliable, efficient and secured.
Specifically, the system aims to:
- Provide a database for easy searching and retrieval of documents.
- Provide a system that could be accessed over the Internet to minimize the time needed in requesting and processing of documents.
- Provide a good quality printed output of documents.
- Provide a reliable system where files are always backed-up and never allow unauthorized accessed.
- Provide a data storage that will secure the documents from lost and alteration.
